Fill out the form below
You will need to obtain, from your local building department, a "pounds per square foot" load requirement as well as a "miles per hour" wind load requirement. We use these numbers to determine which thickness of pan you need (we have 3), whether you need a beam and if you do what size (we have 7 different sizes!), where the beam should go (for safety), how many posts are necessary and the spacing between posts!
**As you can see, the above numbers are VERY important for both safety and to make sure you are not paying for more than you need!
Measuring (see diagram above for terminology)

We will need a back wall height measurement - either how high on your house wall will you be attaching your patio cover or the ground to eave measurement if attaching to the front fascia board

We will need your desired projection and width. If you are covering the entire deck, we suggest a 1' overhang on both sides and the front
-
We will need to know if you are attaching the unit to an existing deck or patio surface OR are you cementing the posts into the ground.

We will need to know if you have a chimney work-around with all the measurements. Extra inside and outside corners will be provided.
Not Included in our Kits:
-
Downspouts are not included. Let us know if you require them. They are $35.00 for a basic 8' assembly. They are easily picked up locally and this would give you the freedom to create the shape you need.

Flashing is not included. When doing a fascia board mount, you will need to flash 3" under the shingles and about 12" out onto your patio cover. On a wall mount, "L" flashing would go under the siding and again about 12" out onto your patio cover.

Hardware to attach the back-wall fascia gutter to house wall or fascia board is not included.

Our units are pre-engineered systems that have been approved by qualified, state approved engineers in 45 States. Our systems are rated according to 2006 International Building Codes. Snow drifting and wind uplift have not been considered in the wall attached units. If local specifications require such engineering, these standards can be met at an additional cost. Current approved standards assume an importance factor equal to 1 & wind exposure equal to "B". If you require documentation and registered engineering stamps we will submit your request with your quotation. We cannot talk to engineers about such items prior to knowing what it is you require.
