When damage happens... it is done by the shipping company - - not by the manufacturer or ScreenHouses Unlimited.

ScreenHouses Unlimited pays the manufacturer to make your unit and hire a shipping company to get the product to you. When your shipment leaves the factory it is signed for by the shipping company as 'received in good condition.' At this moment both ScreenHouses Unlimited and the manufacturer are cleared of any damage liabilities.

The shipping company has now been charged with getting an unblemished product to you. If damage happens in transit, the liability lies with the shipping company. When you properly receive the product - noting damage and returning damaged items as per our instructions, you are holding the shipping company responsible for the expense and re-shipping of the replacement materials.

This allows ScreenHouses Unlimited and our manufacturers to be able to send you out new material and reclaim the cost from the shipping company because there are signed documents declaring the shipping company as being responsible for the damage. It should be noted that we separate ourselves from our competition by doing it this way... you will never have to fight with the shipping company to get a refund on damaged material.

However, once you sign for the materials as 'received in good condition' you are declaring that all parties are now cleared of any damage liabilities. This leaves ScreenHouses Unlimited and our manufacturers with no recourse with respect to damaged material - your signature declares that all parties are now free from further responsibility.
