By the way I just wanted to tell you how
much we love our awnings. It's been two years and they have held up great.
We live near Grand Rapids Michigan and we get tremendous winds here. We
can get several windy days in a row and 50 - 60 mile per hour gusts are
not uncommon. They also make the sunny side of the house so much more
comfortable. We have no mature trees on that side of the house so in the
summer the sun would just beat down into those rooms. Even with the blinds
drawn those room would be hot in the summer. Our awnings make the rooms
shadier and cooler in the summer and even allow us to open the windows if
there is a light rain shower. I think it also allows the AC to run less.
In the winter the sun is so much lower in the sky we still get sunshine
during the
colder seasons.
