Awnings

We wanted the awning to prevent rain from covering the sliding door. I ordered the awning online and also talked to Bob who was great. My not-so-handy husband installed it yesterday. Just a note to let you know that we are very satisfied with our new fabric door canopy. Everything arrived about a week after we ordered. To be sure, I checked everything very carefully: the fabric, the hardware....everything was in perfect condition.

The old porch roof was aluminum and we were happy to get rid of it. We didn't want the same style as it made the porch seem a little to much like a 'cage'. I'm happy that I found your fabric door canopies on the web -- it's light, opens up a small space as here are no supports, and the color is almost an exact match for the trim we are using. In short, we like it, the neighbors like it -- it's perfect!

Sirs: I have recd, assembled and installed your double window awning...all parts, instructions, and product were flawlessly presented.... and were above my expectations..... This South facing awning will permit lovely shade to my library/computer post, allow the window to remain open even when rain threatens.

Your awning, by the by, precisely matches the awnings my dad put on the house 50 years ago. This addition gives my house a true "retro look." In Oct, I will order a single window unit that I lost when it was mashed during a residing job.

I just wanted to let you know that my awning arrived about 2 weeks ago. I put the awning together this past Friday which took about 1 hour to complete and installed the awning on my house yesterday which took about 45 minutes to install. The hardest part about the install was drilling into the brick on my house. The rest of the installation was very easy. Thanks for the quick turnaround on my order!

By the way I just wanted to tell you how much we love our awnings. It's been two years and they have held up great. We live near Grand Rapids Michigan and we get tremendous winds here. We can get several windy days in a row and 50 - 60 mile per hour gusts are not uncommon. They also make the sunny side of the house so much more comfortable. We have no mature trees on that side of the house so in the summer the sun would just beat down into those rooms. Even with the blinds drawn those room would be hot in the summer. Our awnings make the rooms shadier and cooler in the summer and even allow us to open the windows if there is a light rain shower. I think it also allows the AC to run less. In the winter the sun is so much lower in the sky we still get sunshine during the
colder seasons.

This is awesome. I ordered a fabric door awning without properly reading the spec's. When it arrived I saw in the instructions where I needed 13" freeboard above door. I almost didn't try to hang it. I almost returned it. I only have 5" freeboard above the door. But because there is no stoop, the stairs go right up to the door, the awning fit perfectly. You do not have to duck to get under as I was afraid you would have to do. It is great super easy to hang. Thanks,

Good Day:

On Wednesday of last week I discovered your company's website while searching for window awnings for my house. I had made calls locally and visited a couple of vendors, but found nothing realistic in terms of price and delivery times, so I thought that I would try the internet. I saw a multitude of vendors, but most seemed oriented toward a commercial customer, and the pricing was daunting. After visiting a few sites, and requesting information from a couple of companies, I was fortunate to come upon ScreenHouses Unlimited. I found the site very easy to navigate, and was quickly able to home in on the appropriate product line. After a review of products and pricing I had a few general questions, and availed myself of your toll free telephone number. I was assisted by a gentleman named David, who proved to be very friendly and helpful, and posed questions to me that were of immense help in ensuring that my needs would be met. We adjourned our conversation so that I could dash home to verify my initial rough measurements (which were wrong). Armed with exact dimensions, I called again, and was fortunate to get David once again, and he still had all the information at hand that I had called in previously. I

was ready to put in my order, and David was again very helpful in making sure that I was getting exactly what I needed and wanted. I was informed that my order would take up to two weeks to arrive at my home, a very reasonable timeline, considering that other vendors would take about six to eight weeks.

Imagine my surprise, then, when my wife called from home on the following Friday to inform me that my order had arrived ! After only two days ! I anxiously opened the packing boxes when I got home so as to view the quality of the items I had purchased, having only the picture from my computer screen to adjudge their value. Let me tell you that the extremely high quality of my awnings led me to sing the praises of your fine company and it's professional employees.

Assembly of my three awnings was accomplished quickly. All parts were present, and I was soon ready for the installation. This took just a little longer, owing to the fact that the three windows to be treated are on the second floor, necessitating a lot of ladder work.

Stepping back to admire my work, I was so pleased to see that the effect that I was pursuing, dressing up three otherwise plain windows that receive full sun, had been completely achieved.

My expectations have been exceeded. I congratulate you, and thank you for the excellent product and service that has been rendered. I will certainly not hesitate to further conduct business with ScreenHouses Unlimited, and to extol your virtues therein to any interested parties.

Received the canopy from you via UPS Friday, by that evening I had it installed above the back door in about two hours. Looks great I might add. I am very happy with your product so much that I will pass it onto the guys at work about your products easy installation, appearance, price and the looks of durability and on top of that it seemed to add character to the deck area.
As a matter of fact it stormed the night I installed it and did a great job reflecting the rain from the back door. Its very nice that we now have something like this on the back door for shade and rain protection.

To Whom It May Concern:
It seems that all too often people are quick to complain when products or services do not meet their expectations, however, they fail to communicate when their expectations are exceeded. This letter is my attempt to rectify that problem.
Approximately two weeks ago after researching a possible replacement for our aging and broken retractable awning I ordered a new "Series 7000" awning from ScreenHouses Unlimited. Placing the order via you "800 number" was easy and the advice I was given pertaining to model selection was valuable. Although I consider myself rather handy I was concerned about doing the installation myself because I had never installed one before and because this would be installed in an area where a different make and model awning professionally installed about 12 years ago was still hanging. You assured me all would be fine but I still had reservations due to past "easy, do it yourself" projects that ruined a few weekends in the past.
Last week the awning arrived as promised and in good condition. Yesterday I decided to tackle the removal of the old awning and the installation of the new one. To my amazement, as well as that of my wife and helper, the entire job was completed in 2 hours! The awning works and looks great and the quality is excellent! No problems, no surprises, no questions! Everything went as promised and the process and results exceeded my expectations.
So allow me to close by saying "Thank You!" You have a very pleased customer in Pennsylvania!

Hi, received and installed the series 7000 retractable awning myself. I have to tell you that both my wife and I, as well a number of friends who have seen it, are impressed with the quality of the mechanism. I think everyone is leery about buying "sight unseen" but in this case it turned out better than I could have hoped. You guys are running a good operation. From the first phone call I made to inquire about the awning to the actual installation we were both very impressed. The awning was packed very well and got to us in perfect condition and on time just as you promised! (now if I can just figure out a way to effectively recycle the tube it came in!). The instructions for hanging the brackets and mounting the unit were easy to understand and the entire job took only about an hour from start to finish.

Good Morning. Just wanted to let you know we installed our screenhouse this past weekend and are absolutely thrilled!! I'm glad I stayed in the house while the guys did it. Took them approximately 4 hours with limited swearing so I guess it wasn't that difficult. We want to order some windbreaker panels. Are the mylar ones
totally clear panels? Our original order was placed through Glenn so I assume the best thing to do is to call him with our order for panels unless you suggest otherwise. Could you please give me the total price for 7 panels? Thanks.

I recently purchased a screen house for you and I would like to give you a few comments on it.

I called your 1-800 number three times before purchasing the screen house and three times with question about putting it together. All calls were handled in a very polite and professional manner. I was impressed with the trouble some of you went through to answer my questions. And yes, all the answered were correct.

I must say that I was a little apprehensive about sending you a check for almost $3,000 for a product that I could only see in your brochures and by getting answers from your people. I do not consider Canada a foreign country, but I bet I would of had a lot of fun trying to send it back if there were problems with it.

Well let me just say, the screen house has been up for about three weeks now and I still look at the construction of it and am very impressed. There are absolutely no short cuts taken in the manufacturing of the product. Every item was well thought out and made of high quality material.

Everyone, about 20 people so far, that have stopped to see it are also impressed in its quality. The second day it was up we had about two inches of rain. I must have heard about a dozen people say, “hey he has got a gutter on that awing.” When things were a little dryer they had to come up and see how it was done.

It may not be in the near future but I can guarantee you that you will have a few more sales just due to the people looking a it.

As I said in the beginning, one problem I had was not being able to see the screen house before buying it. If you have any people in my general area that are thinking of buying, but would like to see one first, please feel free to call or E-mail me with their phone number and I will get in touch with them.

Just another note to say how much my wife & I love our screen room.
First of all, we sent you a picture of our screen room in the winter time that survived a huge wind storm.

Now, I'm sending you a picture of our screen room that survived a real tornado.
It doesn't even look like ours was touched. The only thing that happened to ours, is the doors came off the tracks & an insert blew in. There was a lot of water inside too, but we're glad we came away unscathed. My brother-in-law's Florida room came away from his trailer.
I'm also sending you a picture of the screen room 2 doors down from us that didn't survive & a couple of pictures that will show you what kind of damage was done in the park. The sunken boat is right beside our boat.

So, thanks again for a great stable screen room.

Attached is are a couple of pictures of my 15 X 10 unit...It went up easily enough, but a little narrative with the drawings would make it faster...It is on a concrete slab and I put indoor/outdoor carpet to make it warmer and more finished...The wife put a number of silk plants and a small waterfall in also...I wired it so we can have heat on the chilly days...All in all, a very comfortable addition to the house...Have received several rave reviews and passed your address along...

Hi, My name is Matt and I live in Tampa Fl. I ordered a 10x12 Arlington shed on March 31st and received it in exactly 2 weeks. Me and my friend Scott put it together with much ease. The instructions were very easy to
follow. Some things didn't make sense at first but after just following the directions STEP BY STEP it is a piece of cake. It took us about 6 hours start to finish, that's with a break for Burger King. About 30 Min. The shed
is very sturdy and the doors slide open and shut very easily. Talk about price, you can't be beat. Home Centers wanted $548.00 plus tax for a 10x8. I got mine delivered for $559 no tax and Delivery Included.
All parts are numbered and easily assembled. Just wanted to drop a not of praise to your company for your fast shipping and great do it yourself product. I have already recommended you to a friend of mine. Thank you

I recently bought the 8X5 Arrow/Sentry tool shed and dreaded having to put it together. But little did I know how simple it was going to be on putting it together. In the past when it came to even putting together some book shelves, I would shout, throw my tools and act like a complete idiot because I couldn't understand their directions and or there were missing parts.
Well, may I say, that holds to be the opposite from your product. Putting this shed together was an absolute dream! I couldn't believe how well the pre-drilled holes lined up and you had easy, step by step directions with illustrations and it was only 28 pages long. After putting this bad boy together, I realized that there was not even one heated moment between me and the shed. Thank you for taking pride in your product and making my life simple by making things the way you say you’re going to. You folks are a rare breed and you know what customer service is all about. I will recommend you guys for the rest of my life.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of my order. I purchased two post lamps from another internet vendor. The first time I received a chandelier instead of the post lamp I ordered, the second two attempts I received the correct product, but they were cracked and broken. At the last minute I needed a replacement. You guys came through with lamps that are much nicer than those I originally purchased. Just a note to let you know my portable garage arrived just about a month ago and was assembled just about 2 weeks ago by my handyman. It looks great and has survived its first 2 snow/rain storms and two very windy day 30/35mph with gusts up to 60 mph.
Steve also said that it was the quality unit he has ever worked with.
